OUR STORY

Pino’s Meatballs started as a humble food truck serving homemade meatballs, but quickly gained popularity for their delicious flavor and quality ingredients. Today, Pino’s Meatballs can be found in fine grocery stores around the midwest.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

TONY PINO

Cleveland-based entrepreneur, Tony Pino, was born and raised in the melting pot of Miami, Florida. Since then he’s lived in various parts of America. After 12 years as a Marine, he settled in Norfolk, VA, and attended the Culinary Institute of Virginia. He wanted to share his take on his Italian-American family favorite, so he began Pino’s Meatballs - a tiny craft food cart selling meatballs and garlic rolls made from scratch. He’s dedicated to producing the recipes of America’s unique melange of cultures using simple ingredients, encouraging consumers to know what’s in their food, and getting better food into schools.

HOW WE STARTED

In 2014, I bought a four-by-seven-foot trailer and, using the kitchen of a bagel shop in Norfolk, Virginia, set out to create a food truck serving nothing but my take on a family recipe of Italian meatballs in sauce and garlic rolls. We made everything from scratch, including the bread.  Nine months after opening, we were voted Best Tasting Meatballs in Hampton Roads by the Virginian-Pilot (well, we tied for first). Now based in Cleveland, Ohio, we bring you that same recipe in our Original Sauce and Meatballs. But the party has grown to include Swedish meatballs and falafel. We are dedicated to making the best comfort foods from across America.

WE BELIEVE

  • Food is a bridge between people.

  • The best foods should be made with simple ingredients.

  • Healthy food can be delicious and preferred.

  • We should know what goes into our bodies.

  • Children should be taught how to cook.
